Whether you want to promote your products to early stage companies, or you are looking for innovating businesses to invest, NIH’s SBIR/STTR grant database can be valuable. Each year, ~2,000 companies receive NIH’s grants. Each fund typically ranges from $100K to $1M, with average half million ($500K). The total is thus ~$1 billion.
If we look at the distribution of these companies who received grants in 2019, we can easily identify a few hubs: Washington/Philadelphia/New York/Boston, North Carolina, San Diego/San Francisco etc. Not surprisingly, these places are where biotech thrives. You may play with the map (e.g. zoom in/out, click individual company etc), it’s interactive.
If you need the list of companies who received SBIR/STTR grants (with contact information) each month, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
